Final days of project

Well I have made 4 pages of my website already..validated to xhtml and css
I am thinking of stopping the project as to where it is now..
got many assignments left..
one in java
Data Mining and then got exam in a week.
THEREfore..I will concentrate on the final report of the website and account for these in my report..

I would say i used these websites alot for doing my php login section for the website..

I used it and created the tables called auth_users in mim10406318 database
The following fields were created in the table "auth_users"
f_name
l_name
email
username
password

and two authorised users create added into the database.

Using phpmyadmin was allright but when i encrypted the passwords , the session of php didnt recognise from the website.

Later on removing the function "PASSWORD" solved the erroe

Well i have been really busy coding the website..today showed it to the peer mates (Hai and Michael)..Thanks for all the feedback.

I am still working on the pages of my website and working on the php part of the website..Took me a while to fix the php code..thanks to hong..
Well final days of this project has come and the report is due 2..

Will post some more soon
My fan website looks pretty good though..

I was talking to James Young about how boring Blogger seems to be...but then this new feature is now on eblogger which shows it not that bad..

You can add you YOU TUBE videos to the blog itself and visitors can see the videos on the blog..

Saw a video today about Steffi graf to get more ideas as to what to include in my project..

Macromedia fireworks animation

Well i have finally started off my project..
started playing with images so that I could make a web banner for my main page of the website..

Worked with Adobe Photoshop elements and Macromedia Fireworks..
Working with layers now..
I downloaded a template for that and am stil trying to put images in the banner and plan the animation..
I found the help section of macromedia really helpful

I read loads of articles while writing my Macro and Micro Tech Analysis. One good article I came across was

Better living through XHTML
XHTML brings well-formedness in websites.It cleans up HTML.
According to the article , w3c standards increase the accessibility and usability of websites.It brings about "forward compatability"

If you want to reach a large audience for a long time, XHTML is the way to go!

Lecture 2 review

i think i have heard and studied alot about the things talked about in the lecture this week.
IP, The OSI Model btw the long form is Open Systems Interconnection Basic Reference Model , Tim was trying to remember it i think. he was probably rite referring to digital media as being a very wide concept . The first thing that pops to my mind when it comes to Digital media to me is web, sound, internet.

The lecture was very amusing and funny as Tim seems to explain technical things really well, ( must say better then IT lecturers).. i have heard OSI and client server explanations from many but nothings simpler then the one i heard in the lecture

"waiter and you going to restaurant " example

Lecture revised my knowledge on protocol, client server relationship, browsers..coming on the topic of browsers..

What attracted you to this course and/or subject? What do you hope to gain by undertaking this subject?

I have lot of interest in learning about digital media and websites. The description of this course clearly states that it is about creativity with skills. I hope to learn more about website content management and relevant softwares skills required in the development of websites.

What attracts you about Digital Media Technologies and Interactive Multimedia?

I believe that learning about digital media technologies and interactive multimedia is very interesting and thought provoking. Though I am doing Masters in IT (Ebusiness), I have lot of passion for working in multimedia and animation field. (Sounds weird but thats me)

What constitues "success" for you in this subject?

Learn as much as i can through practical and the project that i undertake. interaction with others is helpful too

Describe any production, design or technical skills or experience you have with digital media technologies OR give us a brief description of your background and experience.

Most of the experience I have is through assignments I have done in uni. I have not worked in any multimedia company or anything. Have designed business cards , menu cards and few websites as part of assessment in my studies.

I have got some skills in Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Pagemaker and Dreamweaver.

Infact , I am learning internet programming subject this semester where I will learn more on HTML, Javascript, MySQL and Java. So I hope the combined knowledge from these subjects will equip me well.

Well this is gonna be my first blog...yippee..

I thought of writing something about myself..

I am from fiji and i have been here for about a year now..i am a full time international students..i also work..
Well australia has been fun so far and so is studies..
I study Masters in IT ( Majoring in ebusiness) and this is my second last sesmter..cant wait to complete studies and work..

I did sign up for few blogs..but didnt add much before..hope to commit myself this time..
